Horton Automatics Launches New Profiler – ICU Smoke Rated Telescoping MAX
Horton Automatics recently launched new Horton Automatics Profiler – ICU Smoke Rated Telescoping MAX. The new design delivers the industry’s largest clear walk through, far exceeding the requirements of medical facility building codes nationwide.
Designed specifically for the critical care environment of ICU/ CCU rooms, these multi-function doors keep patients in full view when doors are closed. The panels swing out to provide maximum clearance for beds and equipment. The Profiler- ICU Smoke Rated Telescoping MAX exceeds the air leakage requirements of NFPA 105 per UL 1784.
The patented one-handed breakout handle and scissors action bottom pivot make this ICU system truly unique. This telescopic system is in a class of its own when it comes to performance.
Horton Automatics President, Kirk Brunson, said it best,
“Cleaning crews and nurses have historically had some challenges breaking out trackless telescopers. Problem solved with this intuitive, ergonomic, one-handed innovation. Horton engineers hit a customer-focused home run with this one!”
This product also addresses the gap between stroke width requirements in a trackless unit and functionality.
- It delivers the widest opening width available today (54.5” opening width on an 8’ package)
- The patented scissors link bottom guides keep the trackless door panel on a vertical plane for smooth operation
- Patented one-handed breakout handle makes operations intuitive and effortless
With multiple manufacturing locations in North America, all of Horton’s sliding door panels and operators are manufactured in America, in Corpus Christi, Texas.
